Requirements
Must:
We are seeking an experienced Field 2nd Line IT Support Engineer with at least 3 years of IT support experience, preferably including on-site networking. You must possess Maths and English qualifications equivalent to GCSE C or above, a full driving licence, and access to your own vehicle for client site visits in the region (expenses will be subsidized). A suitable home office environment for remote work along with some limited storage space for spare stock is essential. A DBS check is required, and other additional GCSEs at C or above (or equivalent) along with Microsoft and CompTIA certifications are desirable.
Responsibilities
As our IT Field Engineer, you will leverage your remote analysis experience to diagnose and support client issues. You will work closely with customers to understand their challenges, either recreating issues for diagnosis or escalating them to our 3rd line colleagues when necessary. You will take ownership of monitoring and following up on client issues, ensuring they progress to resolution. Additionally, you will be responsible for maintaining and improving technical documentation and are expected to provide out-of-hours support on a rotating schedule with your colleagues.
