Requirements
Must:
- Experience with Windows 11 and Office 365.
- LAN/WAN network experience.
- Strong customer focus.
- Professional qualifications such as Microsoft, Cisco, VMware, CompTIA are considered favorable.
- A degree-based qualification in computing science or engineering is advantageous.
- Previous experience in a service desk role is beneficial but not essential.
- Certifications in MS Operating Systems, A Certification, Network, and MS Office 365 applications are desirable.
- Experience in hands-on application support is beneficial.
- Ability to manage multiple issues, stakeholders, and priorities.
- Knowledge of supporting & administering cloud-based (Azure) and on-prem Microsoft environments.
- Familiarity with productivity suites (Office 365, Teams, OneDrive, SharePoint Online, Exchange Admin, etc.) and mobile technologies (iOS, Android, Intune / MDM / MAM).
- Understanding of Windows 10/11, Active Directory (including Group Policy Management), and Windows Server (2016 and above).
- Good understanding of Networking.
- Scripting skills (e.g., PowerShell) are advantageous.
Responsibilities
- Provide hands-on 1st and 2nd line application and technical support.
- Respond to client issues and install, configure, diagnose, repair, maintain, and upgrade all PC software, operating systems, hardware, AV, and telephony equipment for optimal performance.
- Perform system administration, support, and development for applications and systems, including reporting on global server backups and escalating unresolved issues to management.
- Log, document, and manage all incidents using an Incident Management tool.
- Maintain the inventory of all hardware and software to ensure license compliance.
- Ensure SLAs are met and processes and procedures are followed.
- Support local applications and systems, ensuring documentation for incidents and problems is kept up to date.
- Interact with internal teams, external third-party vendors, and hosting providers to troubleshoot and resolve complex problems.
- Follow and help to continuously improve IT policies, processes, and standards (e.g., problem and incident management, service levels, change control, security and auditing, release, configuration, etc.).

You will be joining a team of 9 IT support staff, responsible for first and second line call resolution for the Dandara group, supporting over 750 staff across the U.K., Channel Islands, and the Isle of Man. Our primary goal is to provide excellent customer service and support for our end users, fostering a dynamic environment that reflects the growing nature of the construction industry. New and up-to-date technology will provide ample opportunities for creative thinking in your role. The position is based at our Isle of Man Headquarters, with occasional travel to satellite sites required, necessitating a driving license and vehicle. We offer a competitive salary of £30-£38,000, depending on experience, alongside 25 days of annual leave plus bank holidays, with the option to purchase up to 5 additional days, and other benefits such as discretionary bonuses and private medical insurance.
