Second Line Support Engineer

We seek someone with a passion for infrastructure, ideally with an operational support services background. You should be self-motivated and capable of working autonomously to meet day-to-day objectives and achieve significant results in projects or operational deliverables. You need to own various activities to ensure compliance with project milestones and customer KPIs and SLAs. Effective communication skills are essential, as you will be directly engaging with customers and colleagues. An analytical and systematic approach to technical challenges is also required. The preferred candidate must demonstrate effective application of Infrastructure and possess extensive knowledge of various technologies, including Linux (Ubuntu/CentOS), Microsoft Windows Server (covering services like AD, DNS, DHCP), virtualisation (Hyper-V), Microsoft Stack Technologies (such as SharePoint, SQL Server, Skype for Business/Teams), networking technologies, and storage. Required skills also include familiarity with virtualized environments (VMware and Hyper-V), knowledge of Windows Server environments (from Server 2008 to 2022), strong Linux system administration skills, general knowledge of TCP/IP and networking technologies, and experience with helpdesk-based ticketing systems. Additionally, ITIL3 or ITIL 4 certification at the Foundation level or above is required.
