Requirements
Must:
- I seek candidates with a minimum of 6 months of hands-on experience in an IT support role, although this is preferred and not required.
- Applicants should have knowledge of Microsoft Office applications, the Windows Operating System, and basic networking principles.
- Familiarity with ITSM tools, Active Directory, and a foundational understanding of troubleshooting network issues is essential.
- I value strong analytical and problem-solving skills, alongside excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
- Candidates should demonstrate a keen eagerness to learn, grow, and adapt in a fast-paced IT environment.
Responsibilities
- I need you to assist in managing and maintaining our IT systems and infrastructure.
- You will provide first-line support to users on various hardware, software, networking, and peripherals issues.
- I expect you to install, configure, and troubleshoot desktop systems and applications effectively.
- It will be your responsibility to ensure the proper functioning of laptops, desktops, printers, scanners, and other peripherals.
- You will support and maintain user accounts, including password resets, user rights, and system policies.
- Monitoring network performance, contributing to network upgrades and expansions will also be part of your role.
- You will provide support for our company's applications and assist users with their usage and troubleshooting.
- I need you to log all incoming requests in our IT service management system, ensuring users receive efficient and timely support.
- Any unresolved issues should be escalated to senior IT support technicians or the appropriate technical staff.
- You will perform routine preventative maintenance on equipment and systems.
- Staying up-to-date with the latest technologies and advancements in the field is crucial.
- Participation in IT projects as directed by supervisors or project leads will be expected.
Description
I am currently seeking an enthusiastic and motivated Junior IT Support Engineer to join our international team based in Ashford. This role is varied and offers the opportunity to provide support across a range of areas, including network support, application support, desktop and user support, peripheral hardware, printers, and IT infrastructure. This position comes with the opportunity to work in a fantastic, supportive, and positive environment, providing the perfect setting for a dedicated junior technician to develop their skills and progress in their IT career.
