Requirements
Must:
- Desktop support competencies – Software & Hardware Level 1 & 2.
- Strong customer service competencies.
- Effective communication skills – written & verbal.
- Independently driven as well as a team member.
- Strong experience with Windows/MS Office and Messaging products.
- Experience in the Banking or Financial Sector.
- Mobile device platform support experience.
- Familiarity with request or incident toolsets.
- Awareness of Microsoft OS build methodologies and toolsets.
- Good negotiation skills.
- Ability to manage a diverse client base with varying character traits.
- Reporting and minute writing to a high standard.
- Capable of balancing a fast-paced production environment while delivering on project work.
- Ability to plan and direct activities with minimal management supervision.
- Experience troubleshooting a variety of applications, both in-house developed and from external vendors.
- Experience supporting mobile devices such as iPhones, laptops, and tablets.
- Flexibility, adaptability, and open-mindedness in response to frequent changes in support needs.
Responsibilities
- Serve as the primary point of contact for all desktop support issues, responding promptly to technical queries and requests.
- Provide hands-on support to resolve hardware and software issues, ensuring minimal disruption to daily operations.
- Address issues with applications, network connectivity, peripheral equipment, and desktop systems, either remotely or on-site as needed.
- Track and document all support interactions in the ticketing system, escalating issues to higher tiers when required.
- Support current and metier-specific legacy hardware/software environments and complete bespoke support tasks and resolutions.
- Maintain an excellent incident and request service resolution for all supported metiers.
- Provide hardware device deployment and support for desktops, laptops, thin clients, tablets, telecommunications, and mobile devices.
- Apply corporate operating systems to all supported devices, understanding the technology and infrastructure on Windows and iOS platforms.
- Support core build software through the lifecycle of current, bespoke, and new applications while performing application troubleshooting, installation, and reinstallation.
- Use ITSM Service Now tooling for all incidents, user requests, and changes, ensuring SLAs are met and all administrative tasks comply with service guidelines.
- Conduct surveys for moves, ad-hoc moves, post-move support, and project-related moves as required.
- Provide support for corporate networking and WiFi, including patching, troubleshooting, and root cause analysis.
- Engage in projects and requirements from transition, alignment, and transformation across multiple metiers and within the Le Comptoir Campus scope.
- Create and maintain knowledge bases and key technical documentation.
- Adhere to health and safety guidelines and promote and implement local policies.
- Promote and work within the CIB/Group BNPP IT Security guidelines.
- Liaise with representatives and peers to ensure the best level of support for the business.
- Work a shift rotation based on location and support needs, with flexibility to work in other UK zone locations as needed.
Description
We are looking for a proactive and ambitious Campus Support Engineer to join our growing team at THJ Technology. This full-time, fixed-term contract offers the opportunity for you to elevate your career by gaining further exposure in enterprise environments and developing key skills. You will be providing IT desktop and hardware support for our end users and the IT infrastructure, efficiently managing the provisioning of desktop hardware, software, and tools to meet business needs. With a strong emphasis on communication and service delivery, your role will ensure that IT services are well-understood, secure, and stable across the UK. Join us, and you will have the chance to engage with a motivated team as we work to deliver high-quality support within a dynamic environment. Your efforts will be rewarded, as you will be compensated with a daily pay rate between £175.00 and £200.00. The work location is in person, and the contract length is for 6 months.
