Requirements
Must:
We are looking for candidates who possess the following skills and experience:
- Experience with device deployment and provisioning at scale
- Familiarity with Intune and/or Datto RMM (desirable)
- Comfortable imaging, building, and setting up laptops and desktops
- Previous use of ServiceDesk tools to manage and track tickets
- Competent in using Excel and basic IT administrative tools
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- A team player with a flexible, can-do attitude
Responsibilities
As a 1st Line IT Support Technician, you will be responsible for:
- Supporting the rollout of Windows 11 devices across the business
- Unboxing, imaging/configuring, and shipping laptops and desktops to end users
- Maintaining communication with users regarding delivery and handover
- Tracking and managing activity using Excel logs and Service Request tickets
- Assisting with general 1st line IT support tasks as required
- Accurately updating and closing tickets using our internal ServiceDesk tool
Description
We are currently working with a local client in Winchester to hire a contract 1st Line IT Support Technician for a short-term, 3-month contract. This is an INSIDE IR35 role, with engagement via Umbrella Company only. The role focuses on supporting a hardware refresh project, replacing legacy Windows 10 devices with Windows 11 across the estate. The work hours will be from Monday to Friday, 8:00 am to 4:00 pm, and this is a practical, on-the-ground support role. We are seeking someone who is confident with device imaging, deployments, and general IT administration. Interviews will be casual, and we expect candidates to be local to Southampton, Winchester, and surrounding areas, as they must be able to attend the site 5 days a week. Immediate availability is preferred due to project timelines, and the interview process will be a one-stage technical call/chat.
