Requirements
Must:
We are looking for candidates with proven experience in software development and a strong understanding of Software Development Life Cycles (SDLC). Familiarity with waterfall, iterative, and agile methodologies is essential. Extensive experience with Appian and proficiency with development tools, including IDEs and source code management, are required. You should also have experience in business process design using UML and BPMN techniques. While we ideally prefer someone with Principal/Leadership experience, we are open to considering a strong Senior Appian Engineer ready to take the next steps in their career. Furthermore, applicants must be eligible to obtain and maintain Security Check (SC) clearance; eligibility includes having been in the UK for at least 5 years or having indefinite leave to remain (ILR) or EU leave to remain.
Responsibilities
In this role, I will expect you to mentor and guide a team of developers, ensuring the timely and high-quality delivery of technical solutions. You will engage in requirements reviews, technical design, modeling, software development, unit testing, and deployment of new applications. I want you to drive enhancements and improvements to existing applications and ensure adherence to IT quality plans and procedures throughout the development lifecycle. Collaboration is essential, so you will participate in workshops, reviews, and stand-ups to communicate progress and align with stakeholders. Additionally, you will be responsible for producing comprehensive documentation to support completed applications.
