Must:
- Willingness to work a shift pattern, including weekends, Bank Holidays, and evening work as well as being on-call. - Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, multitasking while interacting with internal and external customers. - Excellent proficiency in Microsoft systems with a capacity to quickly adapt to new systems. - Strong communication, prioritization, troubleshooting, and decision-making skills. - A team player exhibiting proactiveness and the ability to recognize trends.

Responsibilities

- Manage incidents and resolve them at first contact or escalate as necessary, providing in-depth troubleshooting support to 3rd line resolvers when required. - Coordinate access requests with the relevant approvers and ensure correct access is granted. - Handle hardware requests, including purchasing, configuring, installing, and delivering equipment. - Install and configure software upon request and after approval is given. - Provide regular updates to colleagues on all logged incidents and requests. - Manage IT assets by overseeing repairs, assignments, and updates. - Adhere to governance controls applied by Audit. - Maintain mobile device security and data protection. - Manage major incidents by following the Major Incident Management (MIM) process. - Onboard new starters to ensure all necessary hardware, software, and access is provided for their roles. - Ensure all role changes have the required hardware, software, and access, while removing any unnecessary access. - Complete the leavers process by removing access and retrieving equipment. - Repurpose leaver kit for reuse. - Provide support for project work and face-to-face support when required.

Description

We are excited to offer a position as a Service Desk Advisor in our Colleague Care Team, providing technical support on a fixed-term contract of 14 months to cover maternity leave. This role is based at Doxford Park in Sunderland. In this position, I will be responsible for delivering comprehensive support for IT hardware and software systems within the organization, which includes troubleshooting technical issues and ensuring the efficient operation of IT resources. My focus will always be on providing colleagues with a smooth and successful experience. I offer a competitive salary of £33,990 per annum, with an additional 19% shift allowance and potential bonuses of up to 5% based on target achievements. Additional benefits include 25 days of annual leave (plus public holidays), generous pension plans, flexible benefits, and family-friendly policies.
