Requirements
Must:
- I am looking for a candidate with MSP experience or experience in a customer-centric environment providing support.
- Candidates should possess excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Proficiency in Active Directory and GPO administration is essential.
- Experience in Exchange administration is required.
- A strong background with Microsoft technologies is necessary.
- A good general knowledge of networking and technologies, including TCP/IP stack, VLAN concepts, firewalls, and wireless configurations, is expected.
- I prefer candidates with 5+ years of experience in a technical helpdesk environment.
- Experience with firewall implementations (Fortigate, Cisco, SonicWall, Watchguard) is valuable.
- Familiarity with backup solutions (Azure, Veeam) is required.
- Knowledge of virtualization technologies (Hyper-V, VMware, AVD, RDS) is necessary.
- An in-depth knowledge of the O365 suite and MFA is desired.
- The ability to answer complex networking questions is a must.
Responsibilities
- I expect the selected candidate to act as an escalation route for technical queries from level 1 and 2 engineers.
- The candidate will deliver project work as defined by my Head of Project Management.
- I need someone who can mobilize as a team and communicate effectively through relevant channels during high-risk business-critical P1 outages or security incidents.
- While there isn't an expectation to answer calls regularly, you will be placed in the 3rd tier phone queue during busy periods.
- Proactive tasks such as firmware upgrades, process development, project delivery, and recurring infrastructure checks will be part of your role.
- It is essential to work collaboratively with other engineers towards our shared goal of continuous service improvement and innovation.
- The candidate will likely be enrolled in a Change Advisory Board and will share responsibilities for managing change and risk on the service desk.

We have an exciting opportunity for a 3rd Line IT Support Engineer to join our well-established company in Saint Leonards, East Sussex. Over the past 5 years, we have successfully recruited 45 IT Professionals, and 32 are still with us, which demonstrates our commitment to our team's growth. We are a highly ambitious company and are eager to welcome individuals to our team who are motivated to progress and succeed. Most of our candidates have advanced quickly within a short period. This role is exciting and varied, involving interaction with local management and client site visits—estimating one day per week. The workload may consist of two days per week on desk escalations and two on projects, varying according to demand. We are looking for a real team player who can adapt to a fluid and changing workload, providing expert technical support for daily client issues while delivering on projects that ensure smooth system integrations and continuous improvement.
