Requirements
Must:
- You must have hands-on experience with a proven track record in deploying networking gear, especially Cisco Meraki, Cisco, Fortinet, and HP Aruba. Adaptability to other brands is a plus.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills to diagnose and resolve network issues, including hardware, software, and connectivity problems.
- A deep understanding of network protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP), network hardware (routers, switches, firewalls), and network operating systems.
- You need to create and maintain accurate network documentation, including diagrams, configurations, and troubleshooting procedures.
- Strong interpersonal skills to explain technical concepts clearly and work effectively with clients and colleagues.
- A full UK driving license and access to a reliable vehicle is necessary, as frequent travel and overnight stays will be part of the role.
- You must be eligible for SC Clearance and Non Police Personnel Vetting Level 3 clearances to visit the maximum number of our clients.
Responsibilities
- As a professional service engineer, you will be the first boots on the ground, visiting client sites to install and configure networking hardware, including firewalls, switches, and wireless access points.
- You will contribute to project delivery independently or as part of a team, ensuring precision and professionalism during professional services engagements.
- Creating clear, consistent internal and client-facing documentation will be part of your role to support transparency and long-term success.
- You will ensure solutions are tested, documented, and ready for handover into support.
- Continuous development is encouraged; you will pursue certifications, stay current with emerging technology, and share knowledge with peers.
