GP-Praxisdispenser

In this role, I will expect you to: - Be responsible for dispensing and checking all medicines safely and accurately, in line with dispensary procedures. - Prepare dosettes and check dosettes dispensed by other team members to ensure 100% accuracy. - Maintain stock levels and order supplies for the dispensary, checking goods received against invoices, unpacking, and shelving them. - Receive and store supplies according to current policy. - Ensure controlled drugs are dispensed per practice policy. - Safely dispose of returned and/or out-of-date medicines. - Process all repeat prescriptions in a timely manner and in accordance with Standard Operating Procedures (SOP). - Maintain a clean and safe working environment at all times. - Keep accurate records and read coding entries appropriately. - Handle prescription collection, checking patient exemptions, collecting appropriate fees, and balancing the till daily. - Perform monthly accounting for prescriptions and submit them to the NHS Prescription Pricing Authority. - Assist with or conduct an annual stock check and valuation. - Support the practice reception and other admin support roles when necessary.
