Must:
We are looking for candidates with proven experience in a Service Desk function or 1st Line Support. You should possess strong expertise in Windows 10/11 and have experience with MS Office 365. We need someone capable of working independently on 2nd line technical issues with a strong understanding of Active Directory administration and expertise in the Microsoft 365 ecosystem. This includes supporting and configuring Exchange Online, OneDrive, SharePoint, Teams, and endpoint management.
Proficiency in remote access tools such as LogMeIn, TeamViewer, or Microsoft Remote Desktop is essential, along with a comprehensive knowledge of PC hardware and software setup/configuration, including OS installation and troubleshooting hardware failures. You should also have a fundamental understanding of networking (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPN, VLANs) and basic firewall configurations. Familiarity with the ITIL framework, incident management, and security best practices is expected. Those with experience in video conferencing and telephone systems will be favored.
Responsibilities
As a 1st Line IT Support Analyst, you will be responsible for supporting our internal employees by resolving PC, applications, server, networking, and hardware issues via various communication methods, including in person, email, Teams, or phone. Your daily tasks will involve managing Microsoft operating systems, troubleshooting software issues, analyzing requests, and fixing them for both Head Office and Field staff. You will configure and decommission users, build and configure desktops and laptops, and monitor system security and backups.
You will also be responsible for ensuring antivirus protections are up-to-date, assisting and participating in project work, and prioritizing your daily workload. This includes overseeing stock allocation in the Computer Room, providing comprehensive support for Microsoft environments, incident management, user account management, and backup monitoring. You will participate in IT projects, software deployment, patch management, and asset inventory management.
Description
This position comes with a basic salary of up to £28,000 per annum, alongside a bonus of up to 7% based on your and the company's performance. We offer a contributory pension plan with matching up to 5%, 25 days of annual leave plus bank holidays, life assurance, and a season ticket loan. This role requires you to work 40 hours a week with shifts starting at 7:30 am, including a 1-week-in-3 out-of-hours shift rota for essential system maintenance.
