Must:
We are looking for someone with at least 2 years of experience as a 1st line IT Support Technician, with a proven ability to support a business from triage through to problem resolution. You should have experience in providing face-to-face support for end users to resolve issues. The ideal candidate will possess technical skills in the following areas: Windows Operating System, Microsoft 365, Active Directory, and Hardware troubleshooting. A strong communicator with a customer service mindset, problem-solving skills, and attention to detail are essential. You should be able to work in a fast-paced environment, be proactive with strong time management skills, and have a methodical approach to tasks. The ability to effectively communicate IT issues to non-technical staff is also required.
Responsibilities
As an IT Support Engineer, your main responsibilities will include:
- Initial triage and response to all IT tickets, including resolving tickets where appropriate and escalating when necessary.
- Maintaining current hardware and stock levels of all IT equipment to ensure smooth business operations.
- Conducting daily, weekly, and monthly routine checks and fixes.
- Engaging in the setup, troubleshooting, and maintenance of end-user devices and peripherals such as desktops, laptops, tablets, monitors, printers, and other devices.
- Supporting the maintenance and setup of network hardware, switches, and wireless access points.
- Taking regular audits of IT equipment to ensure machines are up to date and within compliance.
- Collaborating with the IT Manager on projects to plan and implement IT changes and upgrades.
- Carrying out other activities reasonably required by the business to complete your role.

We are ECU Testing LTD, a market leader in automotive control unit remanufacturing, developing ECU (Electronic Control Unit) remanufacturing solutions for Engine management, Transmission, Anti-lock braking, Electronic power steering, instrumentation, and comfort control systems in the automotive aftermarket.
