Requirements

Must:
We are looking for a 3rd Line ICT Support Engineer who possesses excellent problem-solving skills in a mission-critical environment. You should have a strong understanding of networking technologies, including switches and firewalls, as well as Microsoft Windows operating system technologies. A comprehensive knowledge of virtualized server and desktop provision and cloud-based infrastructure is essential. Additionally, you should demonstrate a solid understanding of overall ICT support while being a part of a busy technical team.

Responsibilities

As our 3rd Line ICT Support Engineer, you will be responsible for providing support for various infrastructure technologies, including networking, switches, firewalls, Windows servers, and end-user systems. You will assist our users in diagnosing and resolving issues that arise across our ICT infrastructure, systems, and data, encompassing physical, virtual, and cloud environments. Working closely with the ICT Service Delivery Manager, you will ensure that our business-critical applications receive excellent support. You will also be required to provide rota cover on the Recall to Duty Scheme.

Description

This role is based at the Derbyshire Fire & Rescue Service Headquarters in Butterley Hall, Ripley, Derbyshire, with a salary of £50,000 per annum, which includes a market supplement subject to annual review.
