Requirements
Must:
- Experience in IT support, particularly with Windows environments, a minimum of 2 years.
- Practical knowledge of Windows Server, including Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS, and DHCP.
- A solid understanding of network infrastructure concepts such as subnets, VLANs, and routing.
- Familiarity with cybersecurity principles and their application in everyday IT operations.
- Experience with ERP systems or business system integration is highly desirable.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities efficiently and communicate clearly and effectively.
- Must be eligible to work in the United Kingdom.
Responsibilities
- Provide friendly and efficient 1st and 2nd line support for hardware and software queries, assisting colleagues at all levels.
- Offer guidance and IT training to help colleagues maximize their use of technology.
- Escalate complex issues to the IT Manager or Cyber Security Lead when necessary.
- Upgrade and rebuild end-user machines to ensure optimal performance.
- Configure, troubleshoot, and maintain Windows Servers, desktops, firewalls, and network equipment.
- Manage user permissions in Active Directory and Azure, conducting regular system checks and backups.
- Monitor vendor firmware updates and apply them promptly for system security.
- Collaborate on ad-hoc IT projects and system upgrades with the IT Manager and Cyber Security Lead.
- Identify and implement opportunities for improving IT processes and services in conjunction with colleagues.
- Support the integration and maintenance of internal business systems with potential for expanded responsibilities.
