Requirements

Must:
We require candidates to have at least 5 years of experience in threat intelligence, vulnerability management, or cyber threat research. A strong background in technical incident response and cyber threat analysis is essential, along with a deep understanding of threats targeting government and Critical National Infrastructure (CNI) environments. You should be proficient in open-source intelligence (OSINT) gathering and analysis, and possess high-level knowledge of Windows and Linux systems, networking, and cloud platforms. Excellent communication skills are needed to convey technical risks to non-technical stakeholders. Proven leadership and team management experience in a multidisciplinary environment is also a must.

Responsibilities

In this role, you will lead the detection, triage, and reporting of cyber threats and vulnerabilities on a daily basis. You will oversee the timely delivery of all threat intelligence and vulnerability reports, ensuring they are of high quality and relevance. Your responsibilities will include selecting and monitoring key threat actors that pose the greatest risk to our organization, as well as developing and maintaining Priority Intelligence Requirements (PIRs) and a tailored collection plan. You will provide clear, well-reasoned analysis and predictive insights to support decision-making, continuously assess and improve the maturity of our threat intelligence and vulnerability functions, and manage and mentor a team of analysts to ensure consistent delivery, even during periods of reduced capacity. Regular reviews of all relevant processes and documentation will also be part of your responsibilities.

Description

We are part of a major UK Critical National Infrastructure (CNI) programme and our dedicated Security Operations Centre (SOC) plays a vital role in protecting hundreds of cloud-hosted systems from advanced cyber threats. This is a permanent onsite position located in Leeds, Yorkshire and the Humber, with a salary range of £55,000 to £65,000. A Developed Vetting (DV) clearance is required for this role. Additionally, a degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, or equivalent experience in SOC, threat intelligence, or vulnerability management roles is desirable, along with certifications such as ISTQB, GIAC, or similar.
