Requirements
Must:
- Level 3 Training or Assessing Qualification - or willingness to acquire
- Qualified Dental Nurse with a minimum of 2 years of experience
- DBS Check
- Based in Southampton/Portsmouth to conduct workplace assessments
- Ability to plan work effectively and meet deadlines
- IT literate - with effective use of MS Office
- Experience of assessing the Dental Diploma/Advanced Apprenticeship (desirable)
- Experience of working within work-based learning programmes (desirable)
Responsibilities
- Book and carry out workplace assessments of Diploma in Dental Nursing learners within the required time period
- Communicate effectively with practice managers and learners
- Ensure the correct completion and submission of all assessment paperwork
- Provide constructive feedback to the learner and practice manager in a sensitive manner
- Prepare and support a small caseload of learners for EPA
- Conduct health & safety and equal opportunities vetting and monitoring of practice and provide guidance where necessary
- Plan and prepare for each workplace assessment
- Remain current in skills and knowledge of the dental sector and legislative requirements, maintaining GDC registration
