Must:
We are looking for an IT Service Desk Engineer with experience in providing remote IT technical support at 1st and 2nd line levels. You should have a strong understanding of the technical environment, including Windows Server, Active Directory (AD), DHCP, DNS, Group Policies, Office 365, and a basic knowledge of networks. We also value the following soft skills: problem solving, attention to detail, logical thinking, proactivity, prioritisation, and strong customer service skills. A full UK driving licence is essential for this role.
Responsibilities
In this role, you will be responsible for providing IT technical support to our clients across the Midlands. You will ensure that all actions are logged and managed via the IT helpdesk and may visit customer sites to complete IT service requests. Additionally, you will monitor systems, log errors, track faults, and manage IT incidents to ensure maximum service availability. You will also handle IT asset tracking, service provisioning, and manage IT accounts for new starters and leavers.
Description
This is a permanent position based in Derby, with a salary of up to £28,000 (depending on experience). You will have the opportunity to join our established IT Managed Services company, which has a proven track record spanning over 20 years. We are looking to have you start as soon as possible, ideally in Autumn 2025.
