Requirements
Must:
- Excellent customer service and effective communication skills.
- Strong organisational and time management skills.
- Ability to define issues and requests, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
- Experience using Microsoft Windows 10 and Microsoft Office products.
Responsibilities
- I will be responsible for handling day-to-day first line calls and ticket triage, ensuring first-time fix of incidents and requests.
- I will ensure that Service Level Agreements (SLAs) are met, keeping tickets updated and being the first point of contact for all users within the business.
- I will contribute to request and incident resolution by performing remote analysis and providing support to end users at the desktop level, with an emphasis on first-time fixes before escalating to 2nd line support.
- In necessary cases, I will escalate incidents and requests to 2nd line support or to the Group IT Service Desk Supervisor and Manager.
- I will maintain high-quality ticket logging, ensuring tickets are correctly identified and prioritised, with timely responses containing meaningful feedback.
- I will track user inventory and the status of desktop hardware and software across the Group.
- I will review monitoring alerts and organise repairs for IT equipment when necessary.
- I will support and maintain the user desktop, peripheral, and software environment to ensure that business-as-usual (BAU) services are available day-to-day.
Description
We are looking for a candidate to join our Group IT Service Desk in Basingstoke as First Line Support, with a salary range between £21,000 and £28,000. We offer 21 days of holiday, increasing to 22 days after 3 years and to 25 days after 5 years, as well as an extra day off for your birthday.
