Requirements
Must:
- Excellent customer service and effective communication skills.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to define issues and requests, gather data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
- Experience using Microsoft Windows 11 and Microsoft Office products.
Responsibilities
- I will manage day-to-day first line calls and ticket triage, striving for a first-time fix of incidents and requests.
- I ensure that service level agreements (SLAs) are met, keeping tickets up to date as the first point of contact for all users within the business.
- I will contribute to request and incident resolution by providing remote analysis and support to end users at the desktop level, emphasizing first-time fixes before escalating issues to second line support.
- I will escalate incidents and requests to the second line or, when appropriate, to the Group IT Service Desk Supervisor and Group IT Service Desk Manager.
- I will ensure tickets are logged accurately and prioritized appropriately, responding in a timely manner with meaningful feedback.
- I will track user inventory and status regarding desktop hardware and software throughout the group.
- I will review monitoring alerts and organize repairs for IT equipment when necessary.
- I will support and maintain the user desktop, peripheral, and software environment to ensure business-as-usual services are available daily.
Description
I am seeking a First Line Support Engineer to join our Group IT Service Desk based in Bradley Stoke, Bristol, with two days in the Cardiff office. The salary ranges from £21,000 to £28,000, and I offer a rotating shift pattern of 8:00-16:30 and 9:00-17:00.
