Requirements
Must:
- I require extensive experience in a similar IT support position (1st/2nd line).
- A strong knowledge of Windows OS/server platforms, networking, VPNs, and mobile devices is essential.
- Exposure to Linux, OS X, virtualization technologies (e.g., VMware), Azure/AWS, and backup solutions is important.
- Familiarity with ITIL frameworks and process-driven support environments is needed.
- I seek individuals with excellent troubleshooting, communication, and documentation skills.
- The ability to manage multiple cases, mentor junior staff, and work collaboratively within a team is necessary.
- A degree in Computer Science, IT, Engineering, or equivalent commercial experience is required.
- Microsoft certifications (MCP, MCSA, MCSE) are highly desirable.
- A full UK driving license is a must.
- Due to the nature of travel to the US, you must be eligible to travel under the US Visa Waiver Program or have a US passport along with the right to work in the UK.
Responsibilities
- I will expect you to provide 1st/2nd line IT support across the organization via the internal service desk.
- You will assist with 3rd line issues and technical projects under the guidance of senior staff.
- Installing, configuring, and maintaining IT hardware, software, and networks will be part of your role.
- Managing incidents and service requests in line with SLAs is crucial.
- You will liaise with suppliers for IT equipment and services.
- Contributing to and maintaining the internal knowledge base is expected.
- Participation in rota-based working patterns covering extended support hours is necessary.
- Once fully trained, you will join the on-call rota.
- Ensuring compliance with internal documentation and process standards is a key responsibility.
