Requirements
Must:
- A passion for computers and at least two years of experience in an end-user desktop support role.
- A thorough understanding of PC hardware, peripherals, and peer-to-peer networking.
- Strong knowledge of the Microsoft Windows desktop environment and Office suite.
- Reliability, punctuality, and excellent communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, maintaining a calm and professional demeanor.
- A full and clean UK driving license.
Responsibilities
- Provide telephone support for customers experiencing hardware or software issues.
- Analyze and quickly resolve customer problems efficiently.
- Offer remote support by accessing customer systems when necessary.
- Log all calls using our support software and update records as needed.
- Document and report 'bugs' and 'change requests' to the Development team.
- Make courtesy calls to customers who have not contacted the Support Desk in over six months.
- Occasionally travel to customer sites, which may involve overnight stays; a company pool car will be provided for this.
