Requirements
Must:
- Level 2/3 IT support with 3-5 years of experience
- Software installations and updates
- Minimum qualification level of A Level in IT, Btech/NVQ Level 3 in IT
- Experience with IFS and/or Oracle software systems would be highly advantageous
- Strong knowledge of computer hardware, software, operating systems, IT infrastructure, and security
- Ability to diagnose and resolve technical issues effectively
- Availability to work weekends and travel overseas (with notice) if required
Responsibilities
- Installing, configuring, and maintaining computer hardware and software, including operating systems, phone systems, applications, and peripherals
- Providing user support on a range of technical issues, answering questions, and guiding users through troubleshooting steps
- Training users on new software and hardware and providing ongoing support
- Maintaining accurate records of support calls using our in-house ticket system and assisting the IT Manager with various admin tasks
- Ensuring network security at all times
- Tracking and managing IT hardware and software assets
- Ensuring all laptops, workstations, and mobile phones have the latest security updates installed
Description
We have an exciting opportunity for an IT Support Technician to join our team. This role offers a varied and hands-on experience, where you will look after the company's hardware, software, and network capabilities. You will predominantly be based on-site just outside of Honiton, so transport is required. We are looking for a talented IT Support Engineer or Technician who puts security at the forefront of their operations. You will benefit from a full-time schedule of 40 hours per week, working Monday to Thursday from 8:30 AM to 5 PM, and a shortened schedule on Fridays from 8:30 AM to 1 PM. We offer competitive benefits, including a pension scheme, 23 days of holiday plus bank holidays, group life cover, and an early finish on Fridays!
