Requirements
Must:
We are looking for candidates who have prior experience in an IT support role, ideally in a commercial or customer-facing environment. You should be proficient in supporting Microsoft Office and possess basic troubleshooting skills for broadband and mobile devices. Familiarity with bespoke software support and experience using remote desktop support tools and incident management systems, such as SupportWorks or Remedy, is essential. You should also have a strong understanding of mobile device support (Android, iOS, Windows Mobile) and possess excellent problem-solving skills, with a structured and calm approach under pressure. Strong communication and customer service skills are a must, along with the ability to write clear technical and user documentation. Candidates should have GCSEs in Maths and English (Grade C/4 or above) and be comfortable working as part of a large, cross-functional support team.
Responsibilities
In this front-line role, you will manage and resolve IT incidents and service requests through to resolution. You will provide first-line and basic second-line technical support to end users, delivering excellent customer service as the single point of contact for technical queries. Your responsibilities will include troubleshooting hardware, software, mobile devices, and connectivity issues, as well as escalating complex issues appropriately to internal teams or third-party vendors. You will maintain technical documentation, contribute to internal knowledge bases, and support hardware and software moves, changes, and configurations. Additionally, you will collect data for reporting and be encouraged to contribute ideas for continuous service improvement.

This role offers an excellent opportunity for someone with proven IT support experience who is eager to continue developing their technical and customer service skills in a structured, professional environment. You will gain exposure to ITIL practices, remote support tools, and a variety of enterprise systems. Please note that this position requires you to be on-site, Monday to Friday, at our Rednal, Birmingham office. We ask that only candidates who are able to commute and are willing to work on-site full-time apply for this opportunity.
