Area Engineer

In this role, I will provide dedicated engineering expertise to support our NCP or Client sites' parking equipment estate and associated systems. Key responsibilities include providing 2nd line parking equipment support both remotely and on-site, either independently or in collaboration with NCP Operations, Technology Service Desk colleagues, or third-party service engineers. I will troubleshoot and diagnose equipment and process failures, determine root causes, and implement remedies. Additionally, I will review and contribute to maintenance plans and workflows, serving as a repair coordinator for turnarounds and planned preventative maintenance (PPMs). My tasks will involve conducting post-maintenance monitoring to ensure that repairs and changes are effective and of high quality. I will advise NCP Operations and the Technology Service Desk on the best practices for using equipment to ensure efficient operation and reduced downtime. Furthermore, I will create and maintain standard support documentation covering parking equipment operations, engineering, technical knowledge transfer, and maintenance disciplines. I will also be involved in refurbishing equipment, ensuring accurate recording of part/assets stock on NCP's central equipment store, building equipment in preparation for projects—this includes end-to-end testing to ensure all equipment is operational before installation on-site—and creating processes for tasks related to forward house. It's crucial for me to ensure accountability for all tasks carried out on a daily basis.
