Requirements

Must:
- Degree in Computer Science or a related field, or relevant experience. - Extensive experience in the product development lifecycle and agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban). - Proven experience in product organizations with a focus on the development of off-the-shelf products. - Experience driving culture within an engineering function of 30-50 engineers, ideally after mergers or acquisitions. - Strong technical background in software engineering (Java, AWS, microservices architecture). - Expertise in cloud environments and transitioning on-premise products to the cloud. - Exceptional leadership and interpersonal skills with experience managing and developing diverse engineering teams. - In-depth knowledge of security, scalability, and performance optimization within engineering solutions. - Strong decision-making and problem-solving skills, particularly under pressure.

- Lead and scale a high-performing engineering team focused on product development and innovation. - Drive cultural change and engineering excellence across the UK engineering team. - Set clear performance goals, foster an inclusive team culture, and drive the team to maintain high standards of technical quality and operational efficiency. - Align the engineering roadmap with business goals and help the business move toward its ambition of becoming a “tech-first” organization. - Play a key role in delivering high-quality off-the-shelf products through technical leadership and cross-functional collaboration. - Oversee the successful delivery of product features, technical solutions, and customer implementations. - Ensure alignment of engineering practices, tools, and methods with the Technology Strategy across other areas (APAC). - Provide technical guidance and leadership while ensuring the team is equipped to meet their goals and deliver world-class products.
