Must:
We are seeking a Java Developer with experience in the financial services sector for an initial 12-month contract. This position requires familiarity with advanced Java, Spring, Hibernate, Oracle, BPM, JMS, and in-memory computing. Financial services experience is essential.
Responsibilities
In this hybrid role, you will be required to work on-site in Northampton for 2 days per week. You will build solutions for our Distributed computing platform, participate in Agile development models to deliver consistent feature builds, and collaborate with globally located teams to ensure proper communication regarding critical developments and issues. Your daily tasks will include working with the leads and QA team on UAT builds, developing unit tests with Junit, Mockito, and SonarQube to enhance code coverage and quality, and resolving impediments in CI/CD pipelines deployed in TeamCity for clean builds. Additionally, you will develop UNIX and Database scripts as needed for new features, participate in project and scrum calls to ensure timely feature delivery, and partner with relevant design authorities on tech-related topics. You will also provide knowledge transfer sessions, training, and mentorship to junior team members.
