Requirements

Must:
- A minimum of five GCSEs with grades 9 to 4 (A* to C), including English and Maths. This is a requirement of the apprenticeship scheme, and evidence will be required. - You must not already have a degree in a similar specialism, as this would make you ineligible to complete the apprenticeship program as part of the job role. - Ability to work from our offices in central Bristol. - You must be 18 years or older at the start date of the apprenticeship. - A genuine enthusiasm for a career in IT development and a strong interest in working at Hargreaves Lansdown.

Responsibilities

- Learn to provide IT Support within a business and understand the key responsibilities of the IT Support function. - Gain knowledge of essential elements in the IT industry including End User devices, Operating Systems, Support Tools, and Processes. - Engage in testing and problem-solving using diagnostic techniques, event and system logs, and troubleshooting. - Act as the first point of contact for all incidents and service requests. - Triaging tickets and providing 1st line support. - Collaborate with Product teams, including experienced Engineers, Technical Leads, Product Owners, and Service Management teams. - Complete tasks and resolve Incidents and Requests using ITSM tools. - Commit to continued professional development and develop the knowledge and skills required to operate within different disciplines of the Digital department. - Create and update Knowledge Items and other relevant documentation. - Rotate through various IT Support teams to assist with the apprenticeship modules.

Description

At Hargreaves Lansdown, we are offering an IT Support Apprenticeship with a competitive salary set at the Real Living Wage. As an apprentice in our IT department based in central Bristol, you will not need any prior work experience or training in IT; we are looking for someone with a passion for technology and a willingness to learn. This apprenticeship lasts 17 months and leads to a Level 3 Information Communications Technician qualification. Throughout this time, you will develop your technical knowledge and gain a solid understanding of various aspects of IT Support, including End User support, Networks, and Cloud Systems. You will be required to work full-time, with a commitment of 37.5 hours per week, during which you will also dedicate a minimum of 6 hours per week to your off-the-job learning. Successful candidates will be invited to attend an assessment day at our offices.
