Requirements
Must:
To excel in this role, you should have:
- Experience in IS technologies, including Windows Desktop OS, Microsoft 365, and common applications.
- Knowledge of server technologies, such as Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, and virtual servers.
- Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- The ability to prioritize tasks and manage stressful situations effectively.
- A proactive approach to problem-solving and ownership of responsibilities.
- A full driving license.
Responsibilities
As an IS Service Support Engineer, I will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation and improvement of the end-user experience and desktop environment. My duties will include:
- Providing prompt and efficient remote support, with occasional travel to remote sites.
- Managing and maintaining hardware and software, including deployment, patching, and updates.
- Supporting user account management and authorizations.
- Diagnosing and resolving computer and application faults.
- Ensuring high availability and uptime of desktop/laptop systems.
- Developing processes and tools to enhance support capabilities.
