To be successful as our Engineering Manager, you need to have:
- A track record of leading high-performing engineering teams.
- Demonstrable and up-to-date expertise in Salesforce, Salesforce Industries, Vlocity, and its wider ecosystem, including integration services, bespoke build, and applications architecture.
- Highly desirable experience with .Net services, Azure Cloud, etc.
- Exposure to influencing a wider Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), development environments, pipelines, integrations, and builds.
- A proven ability to lead a diverse team that designs and delivers complex high-volume solutions, ideally in a financial services environment.
- An understanding of current and emerging technologies and how they can deliver business benefits.
- A product-centric approach to Agile development.
Responsibilities
As an Engineering Manager, I will lead the engineering team from the front, setting and managing expectations. I will champion excellence across design, coding, and implementation, contributing to the setting, execution, and delivery of the engineering strategy. My hands-on approach will include code reviews, best practices, and troubleshooting for both team members and third-party engineers. I will coordinate representation of the team with Product Owners, Scrum Masters, SMEs, and business sponsors while promoting an Agile and DevOps-oriented operating model to improve core DORA metrics. Additionally, I will bring industry experience to the forefront of Salesforce development within a Microsoft technical estate, delivering scalable, best-of-breed solutions, and acting as a line manager and mentor to development team colleagues.
Description
This is a permanent position based in Leeds, with a hybrid work model requiring approximately three days a week in the office. While Leeds is the primary location, we may also consider candidates who can commute from Middlesbrough, Bristol, Tunbridge Wells, or Bournemouth. Please note that if your CV does not clearly highlight experience in Salesforce Industries / Vlocity development incorporating wider SDLC functions, we will not be able to progress your application.
