Requirements

Must:
- Experience with the Google Suite of applications (Gmail, Google Docs, Google Sheets, Google Calendar) is preferred but not essential. - MCP (Microsoft Certified Professional) certification in Windows 10/11 is not essential. - Understanding and experience of CompTIA A+ (PC Hardware Break Fix), Windows Server environment, SQL, Jira Helpdesk, and bespoke system support is advantageous. - 1-2 years of experience in an IT support role, both desk and shop floor. - HNC/HND or a degree equivalent in Computing is not essential.

Responsibilities

- Manage and support a team of engineers in the U.K. while collaborating with IT Leaders in global cost centers located in the U.S. and Singapore. - Respond to requests for technical assistance in person, via phone, and through helpdesk. - Assist with diagnosing and resolving technical hardware and software issues. - Log all helpdesk interactions efficiently. - Follow standard operating procedures diligently. - Redirect IT issues to the appropriate resources. - Identify and escalate issues requiring urgent attention. - Create and maintain user accounts in Active Directory and Google Administration Console. - Build and refurbish PC bases and laptops as required. - Undertake other assigned duties and projects.

As part of our IT Department, you will join a global group of technicians and support personnel who address issues across all sites. This structure fosters excellent communication skills and flexibility. Our UK operations currently employ around 350-400 individuals, with an impressive average service history of 12 years; in Stockport, where we have roughly 100-150 staff members, the average length of service is around 11 years. In this role, you will support computer applications and platforms within both office and manufacturing environments. You will focus on delivering exceptional IT support services while managing day-to-day operations alongside a team of technicians across UK-wide sites and supporting the Global IT Team based in the U.S. This position requires a strong technical background alongside a commitment to delivering top-notch service.
