Requirements

Must:
- You must be a highly motivated self-starter who can work independently and as part of a team, managing various tasks in the context of the bigger picture. - A proven track record in delivering and supporting complex hardware to meet cost and schedule requirements is essential. - You should be able to coordinate external suppliers, including managing acceptance activities. - A willingness to undertake regular, short-duration European travel is required. - Experience with large mechanical and hydraulic systems and electrical generation and distribution is beneficial. - Security Clearance: You must be a British citizen or a dual UK national with British citizenship. Note that restrictions or limitations relating to nationality and/or rights to work may apply. Following the offer stage, all successful candidates will need to undergo HMG Basic Personnel Security Standard checks (BPSS) managed by our Personnel Security Team.

Responsibilities

- As the Head of the Launcher Platform Assembly (LPA), you will be the focal point for the LPA within our UK design team, managing relationships with MBDA Italy and engaging with Italian subcontractors. - Your role involves providing oversight, direction, and guidance to de-risk LPA design and delivery. - You will act as a key stakeholder and leader in developing the relationship with MBDA Italy, ensuring schedule adherence, quality, industrial validation, and product development. - Building relationships and influencing Italian stakeholders, both within MBDA IT and the wider supplier base, will be crucial. - You will ensure coordination, common understanding, and prioritised delivery focus between the UK and Italy to meet our delivery schedules and customer expectations.
