Must:
We are looking for candidates with strong technical knowledge of satellite communications, networking, IP protocols, and telecommunications systems. Previous experience in a NOC, technical support, or network operations environment is essential. The ideal candidate will have solid troubleshooting skills with the capability to identify and resolve complex faults. Excellent communication skills with a customer-focused approach are vital, along with the ability to work under pressure, manage multiple tasks, and meet tight deadlines. We seek a strong team player who can also work independently. Relevant qualifications in Telecommunications, IT Networking, or Engineering are required. Experience with RF, VSAT, satellite modems, routers, firewalls, and monitoring systems is highly desirable. Flexibility to work shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays is a must.
Responsibilities
In the role of NOC Technical Support Engineer, I will provide first and second-line technical support for satellite communications services via the Network Operations Centre (NOC). My main responsibilities include monitoring satellite and terrestrial network systems to identify and address service issues, providing real-time support for end users, field engineers, and internal teams. I will carry out fault diagnosis and troubleshooting of hardware, software, and network issues. For complex faults, I will escalate concerns to senior engineers or third-party suppliers as necessary. I will also maintain accurate and detailed records of incidents, service requests, and resolutions, assist in the commissioning and configuration of new services and network elements, and ensure that all support activities comply with company policies, procedures, and SLAs. Additionally, I will participate in shift patterns to ensure 24/7 NOC coverage.
