Requirements
Must:
- I am looking for a candidate with a proven track record as a business analyst in capital markets, particularly with deep expertise in fixed income (both cash and derivatives).
- Experience with Calypso is essential.
- I require hands-on experience with the Calypso platform, including upgrades, configurations, and functional workflows.
- A strong understanding of fixed income instruments such as bonds, repos, swaps, and derivatives, as well as the associated trade life cycle and risk management processes, is necessary.
- The candidate should have experience working with front, middle, and back office stakeholders to gather requirements and deliver solutions.
- Solid knowledge of trade capture, PnL, risk, and settlement workflows within Calypso is expected.
- Previous experience with Calypso upgrades or migrations is highly desirable.
- Advanced knowledge of system analysis processes and techniques, as well as system components, functionality, interfaces, data flows, and business rules, is required.
Responsibilities
- I want you to work with technology partners (e.g., Solution Designers and Architects) to research and analyze current state system capabilities and define technology solution options and recommendations.
- Collaborating with the Fixed Income team to gather and analyze business requirements across cash and derivatives products is essential.
- You will support and enhance Calypso platform functionality to align with evolving business needs, ensuring optimal performance and stability.
- Conducting detailed gap analysis and proposing solutions to bridge business requirements with system capabilities will be part of your duties.
- You will lead or contribute to the Calypso upgrade process, ensuring seamless integration and minimal impact on existing workflows.
- Documenting workflows, specifications, and system configurations for effective knowledge transfer and maintenance is required.
- You will perform system testing, validation, and troubleshooting of Calypso-related processes across cash and derivative instruments.
- Collaborating with technology teams to deliver enhancements and ensure robust data integration and process automation is expected.
- Providing user support and training to stakeholders while maintaining effective communication throughout the project lifecycle will be your responsibility.
- I expect you to stay up to date with market developments in the fixed income space and best practices in Calypso platform management.
- It’s important to respect existing processes and standards, including requirements management and project management disciplines, technology delivery, and business technology architecture, while escalating issues as needed.
Description
This is a 12-month contract position located on Threadneedle Street, London, where you will be required to work onsite four days per week. The salary for this role is up to £600 per day, and it is considered INSIDE IR35. The position is with a global software consulting firm, specifically in the financial arm of the business, and there is a strong likelihood of extension beyond the initial contract period.
