Requirements
Must:
We are looking for someone who combines technical know-how with stand-out personality. You should have essential knowledge of UK self-assessment/personal tax processes (e.g., HMRC submissions, personal tax returns, related software). Additionally, you need to be hands-on and organized, with the ability to take ownership of delivery. Strong communication skills are crucial, as you'll be working across teams and engaging with operatives.
Responsibilities
In this role, you will take full ownership of the delivery of the new self-assessment tax service, overseeing everything from setup to day-to-day operations. Your responsibilities will include:
- Designing and managing efficient workflows through system implementation, utilizing off-the-shelf software for submissions.
- Building on existing payroll data (which covers approximately 50% of what's needed) and managing additional data collection for the service.
- Identifying administrative needs and working with third-party partners if outsourcing is required for operational oversight.
- Ensuring compliance by making certain that all HMRC submissions are accurate, timely, and error-free.
- Contributing to the service's growth by supporting senior leaders with ideas for marketing and ongoing development.
- Championing outstanding customer service and recognizing that personality and empathy matter just as much as accuracy.
