Requirements
Must:
- A minimum of 2 years of hands-on experience in a 1st line customer-facing role; 2nd line experience is an advantage.
- A valid driver’s license is required due to our network spanning multiple sites.
- 5 GCSEs, including Mathematics and English at grade C or above, or an equivalent professional IT qualification.
- Installation of IT hardware and software.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Operating Systems (Windows 10 and above).
- Experience with Windows Server (2012 R2 and above).
- Strong understanding of Active Directory, file permissions, DHCP, DNS, and Group Policy.
- Excellent troubleshooting skills in hardware, software, and networking (routing, switching).
- Experience with Exchange, Office 365, and PowerShell.
- Familiarity with Desirable Technical Skills (e.g., Capita sims.net, Veeam Backup, Apple products, Ubiquiti products, VOIP systems, Microsoft Azure, IP CCTV Systems, and Door Access Control).
Responsibilities
- Work closely with our 1st & 3rd line technicians to provide effective IT support.
- Travel to customer sites to assist with their IT needs, resolving technical issues on a Rota'd basis.
- Maintain strong communication with clients and team members to ensure clear understanding of technical issues and solutions.
- Show attention to detail and analytical thinking in troubleshooting and problem resolution.
- Manage time effectively, prioritize tasks, and handle responsibilities under pressure while meeting deadlines.
- Commit to ongoing training and professional development to enhance skills and knowledge.
