Requirements
Must:
- I expect candidates to be educated to degree level or to demonstrate equivalent knowledge and aptitude.
- Proven experience in managing enterprise applications, databases, SaaS, cloud platforms, and integrations is essential.
- I am looking for individuals with previous experience managing technical projects and IT teams to achieve business outcomes.
- Experience with supplier management, procurement processes, and vendor negotiations is a must.
- A strong background in incident, problem, and change management within IT service delivery is required.
- Candidates must hold a full UK Driving Licence.
Responsibilities
As my IT Service Delivery Manager, you will be responsible for the following:
- I will need you to develop, implement, and manage our organisation's application and service delivery strategy.
- You will act as an enabler for the ongoing enhancement of our IT services and applications.
- You will oversee system implementations and major projects, ensuring that all resources and documentation are in place.
- Managing upgrades, integrations, interfaces, incidents, changes, and problem resolution will fall under your purview.
- I expect you to work with technical specialists on data migration and data quality within our systems.
- You will oversee contracts, procurement, and supplier performance for our application vendors.
- Lastly, I look for you to engage with colleagues across all Directorates to align applications and services with our strategic goals.

In this hybrid role, you will lead a team of specialists, ensuring that our business applications and IT services are strategically aligned, secure, and fit for purpose. You will oversee the full application lifecycle, manage vendor relationships, and deliver on technical projects that support our digital transformation. Your role will be key in driving continual improvement and supporting colleagues across our organisation, ensuring applications and services meet operational and service requirements. We offer a salary range of £59,009 - £64,673 per annum, along with a generous annual leave entitlement of 31 days (rising to 36 days after 5 years of continued local government service), an excellent local government pension scheme, and much more.
