Requirements
Must:
We require a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Control Systems Engineering, Mechatronics, or a related field. You should have over 5 years of experience in controls engineering or automation, with a minimum of 2 years in a leadership role. A strong background with PLCs (such as Allen-Bradley and Siemens), HMIs, and SCADA systems is essential. You should also possess knowledge of industrial networking, including Ethernet/IP, Modbus, and Profibus. It is important to be proficient in interpreting electrical and control schematics and familiar with safety and compliance standards like NFPA 70E, OSHA, and ISO.
Responsibilities
As a Controls Manager, you will lead the development, programming, and troubleshooting of various automation systems, including PLC, HMI, and SCADA. You will manage controls projects from their initial concept through to completion, overseeing scheduling, budgeting, and reporting. Compliance with all relevant regulations, safety standards, and internal policies is a key responsibility for you. You will supervise, mentor, and support a team of controls engineers and technicians while working closely with cross-functional teams – including mechanical, electrical, IT, and production – to deliver integrated automation solutions. Additionally, you will oversee the documentation of control systems, analyze system performance, support maintenance teams in troubleshooting and root-cause analysis, manage vendor relationships, and stay updated on emerging technologies in controls and automation.
