As an Engineering Manager, I am looking for individuals with hands-on experience in Java, React/Angular, or similar modern technologies for Senior Engineers transitioning into Management roles. Candidates should possess strong mentoring skills and a passion for developing others, as well as an interest in shaping technical direction and fostering team culture beyond individual contributions. For Experienced People Managers, a proven track record of developing and leading high-performing engineering teams is essential. A strong understanding of agile delivery and modern engineering practices is also required. I value a collaborative leadership style with excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills. Additionally, experience working with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP) is expected for all applicants. A passion for innovation, continuous improvement, and building inclusive teams aligns with our core values.
Responsibilities
In this role, I will be responsible for building and scaling high-performing engineering teams through effective recruitment, coaching, and career development. I will champion engineering excellence by defining best practices, modern tooling, and architectural standards. Fostering a culture of innovation and continuous improvement across delivery teams will be a key focus of mine. I will contribute to architectural discussions and ensure alignment with business goals and technical strategy. Supporting engineers through regular one-on-ones, mentoring, and providing technical guidance will be part of my everyday responsibilities. I will also collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Product, Architecture, and Delivery, to ensure successful outcomes while driving the adoption of modern software development practices, such as Agile, CI/CD, automated testing, and cloud-first engineering.
Description
This is a full-time, permanent position, offering a starting salary of up to £72,000 (depending on experience) and a fully remote working model.
