Requirements
Must:
- I require extensive experience in user research and/or business analysis, with significant experience in a leadership role.
- I am looking for a proven track record of building and scaling research/analysis functions in fast-paced environments.
- A strong understanding of both qualitative and quantitative research methodologies is essential.
- Experience with business modeling, market analysis, and strategic planning is necessary.
- I need someone with the proven ability to influence senior stakeholders through data-driven insights.
- The ideal candidate will possess a strategic mindset with the ability to connect user needs to business outcomes.
- Excellence in research design, execution, and analysis across multiple methodologies is expected.
- Strong business acumen and financial literacy are important.
- Outstanding communication and storytelling abilities are required.
- Experience in mentoring and developing team members will be beneficial.
Responsibilities
- In this position, I will expect you to build and lead a high-performing team of User Researchers and Business Analysts, fostering collaboration and knowledge sharing between disciplines.
- You will lead the development and growth of a cross-disciplinary Community of Practice for decision support, research, and insights, gathering practitioners from across the organization.
- Establishing frameworks and methodologies for integrating user insights with business metrics to inform strategic decision-making will be part of your role.
- You will drive research initiatives across the full product lifecycle, from discovery to post-launch evaluation.
- Translating complex research findings and business analysis into clear, actionable recommendations for stakeholders will be a key responsibility.
- You will partner with Product, Engineering, and Executive teams to influence product strategy and business direction.

Our existing software systems and services are crucial to safeguarding land and property ownership valued at £7 trillion, which secures over £1 trillion worth of personal and commercial lending against property. As the Head of Systems Value, you will combine user research and business analysis to drive evidence-based decision making throughout our organization. We offer a 2-year fixed-term contract with a salary range of £73,347 - £78,213 (depending on location), plus a 29% pension contribution and full Civil Service benefits. Our working environment is flexible and hybrid, with the expectation of working from one of our 14 locations for 60% of your time.
