Requirements
Must:
- Career experience developing and operating Python software solutions to solve complex analytics problems.
- Proven experience successfully leading a team of data analysts and/or software developers to deliver a fast-paced program of software development and analytics services.
- Excellent logic and problem-solving skills, with the ability to communicate complexity to others.
- Evidence of excellent teamwork, actively leveraging diverse teams of external stakeholders to excel in delivering outputs.
- Experience in Defence and submarines.
- Relevant degree in fields such as Maths, IT, Software, Data Science, Physics, or Computing.
- Ability to achieve and maintain Security Check (SC) security clearance for this role due to national security clearance and Trade Control restrictions.
Responsibilities
- Provide unique services for planning and analysing the UK submarine support programme.
- Interface with senior customers to deliver data analysis and business conclusions through the operation of software models and application of expert business knowledge.
- Establish and maintain a high-performing team of data analysts responsible for the design, delivery, and operation of analysis services for senior executives and business clients.
- Define the overall vision and strategy for the analytic service, prioritising customer and business requirements and establishing development needs to continuously improve the service.
- Collaboratively manage the use of cross-team resources to deliver an integrated program of data analysis tasking and software development, adjusting workloads as necessary in a fast-paced environment.
- Develop, maintain, and implement the team's data analytics deliver processes, procedures, and guidance, including analytics output quality processes and standards.
- Cultivate deep business knowledge of the strategic programming for UK submarines to effectively develop analytic products and services that leverage best practices and innovative concepts.
