Requirements
Must:
We are looking for candidates who possess strong technical skills and have experience in designing, implementing, and maintaining IT infrastructure and network systems. A background in an educational environment is highly desirable. You should have the following technical knowledge:
- Proficiency in supporting a Windows Desktop environment.
- Familiarity with HP/HPE Comware and HPE Aruba operating systems, along with confidence in using CLI commands.
- A solid understanding of network concepts including VLANs, subnets, IP subnetting, and Layer 2 switching.
- Experience with desktops, laptops, Macs, and mobile devices.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office and Office 365 applications.
- Familiarity with VMWare vSphere and Horizon virtual desktops.
- Experience in Office 365 and Outlook administration.
Responsibilities
In your role as an IT and Network Support Engineer, you will be responsible for providing IT support to college members, students, staff, and fellows. Your duties will include:
- Installing, configuring, and supporting network equipment such as network switches and wireless access points.
- Maintaining the college's network hardware infrastructure and scheduling upgrades for network hardware.
- Designing and planning upgrades for network hardware and infrastructure.
- Providing mail administration and troubleshooting for Office 365 applications.
- Managing and maintaining Windows desktops, mobile devices, and associated applications.

The salary for this position ranges from £35,000 to £42,000, and our working hours are from 8:30 am to 4:30 pm.
