Requirements
Must:
- Proven data protection experience within a project or programme environment.
- Experience in conducting Data Protection Impact Assessments (DPIAs) and applying data protection principles in practice.
- Strong communication and influencing skills, with the ability to simplify complex data risks.
- Experience with Records of Processing Activities (ROPA) is desirable but not essential.
- Ability to work autonomously and confidently across multiple workstreams.
Responsibilities
- I will lead the data protection aspects of multiple new projects, working cross-functionally with other technical teams (SAP, SOC, and infrastructure).
- I will conduct data protection impact assessments and assess legitimate interest.
- I will identify and evaluate data protection risks at project inception and provide practical guidance.
- I will communicate data protection risk in a clear and accessible way to non-specialist stakeholders.
- I will manage the full assessment process from initial fact-finding to final recommendations.
- I will collaborate with wider teams to ensure alignment with cyber law requirements, including Network Information Systems (NIS) and PCI compliance.
Description
This is a great opportunity to work in a high-impact role within a well-established organization at the heart of a major UK transport hub. You will be supported by subject matter experts across cyber, technical, and incident response functions. The position is a 12-month contract located 2 days per week onsite at Olympic House, Manchester Airport, with 3 days remote work. The day rate is £550, and the working hours are 8am-4pm or 9am-5pm. The interview process consists of two stages – one via Teams and one face-to-face.
