Must:
We are looking for an experienced Senior Network Engineer with a strong background in Financial Services or Banking. You should have recent hands-on experience with the following technologies:
- Juniper firewalls
- Checkpoint firewalls
- Cisco switches (particularly in the context of migrating from Palo Alto firewalls)
Additionally, familiarity with managing Wi-Fi systems, including Meraki and Edge devices, is essential. You should also possess knowledge of Cisco ISE Network Controls and implementing policy changes with VLANs. Flexibility is crucial, as we require someone who is willing to work outside of core hours, including occasional weekends and evenings. Some on-call work may be required from time to time.
Responsibilities
In this role, I will expect you to manage business-as-usual (BAU) tasks while also supporting various project work. Your main responsibilities will include the configuration and maintenance of network devices as well as handling migrations. I will need you to effectively manage Wi-Fi equipment and ensure proper network controls are in place. You will also be responsible for implementing policy changes within our VLAN infrastructure.
Description
This is a 6-month contract opportunity, and we anticipate you will need to be in the office one to two days per week, on average. Please keep in mind that our clients' offices are located in the City of London, with datacentres in Berkshire and Canary Wharf. It is important to note that this role has not yet been assessed, but we expect it to likely fall inside IR35 due to the nature of work required.
