Requirements
Must:
- Solid experience with Bedrock and SageMaker, both on Amazon.
- Proficiency in Python with APIs, specifically for ChatGPT.
- Strong coding skills in libraries such as Pandas, NumPy, Scikit-learn, PyTorch, and Hugging Face Transformers.
- Hands-on experience with AWS Data Science Environment including SageMaker, Lambda, Step Functions, S3, and Athena.
- Familiarity with traditional machine learning models, including regression, classification, clustering, and time-series forecasting.
- Ability to translate business requirements into data-driven solutions, designing KPIs, metrics, and actionable insights.
- Effective communication with both technical and non-technical stakeholders and experience in cross-functional teams.
- Basic data engineering knowledge, including SQL and big data processing tools.
- Understanding of model evaluation practices, A/B testing, and performance metrics.
- Awareness of data privacy, PII handling, and compliance standards such as GDPR.
- Experience working in Agile/Scrum teams and familiarity with tools like Jira or Azure DevOps.
Responsibilities
- Work with LLMs using Bedrock and SageMaker.
- Develop OCR use-cases using Amazon Textract, Tesseract, and LLM-based OCR.
- Build document parsing pipelines, validations, and rules in Python.
- Write clean, modular, and testable code for machine learning applications.
- Evaluate, tune, and deploy machine learning models effectively.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to deliver data-driven insights and solutions.
Description
We offer a great opportunity for a Data Scientist on a 6-month initial contract with flexibility to work remotely or on-site in Milton Keynes (max 3 days per week). The daily rate ranges from £400 to £450 (via an umbrella company).
