Requirements
Must:
- Knowledge of Cyber Security Regulations: Familiarity with the CSMS process is essential. Must have an overview of the UN-R155 and UN-R156 regulations and be aware of ISO 21434.
- Knowledge of Cyber Security Controls: Understanding various Cyber Security Mitigations (such as Cyber Hygiene, Secure Boot, Signed Software, SecOC, Secure Diagnostics, and Secure Debug) for ECUs and the Network is critical, as well as knowledge of security controls in SOTA, Mobile Communications, and Cloud for offboard systems.
- Understanding of the CSMS Process: Proficiency in the CSMS process with awareness of ISO 21434 is required. Experience in DIA/CIA, Cyber Security Planning, Item Definition, and TARA is a basic expectation.
- Familiarity with Product Architecture and Design: Awareness of network architecture, communication protocols, ECU hardware, and HSMs is important.
- Strong documentation and communication skills are crucial for this role.
Responsibilities
- I will design and implement robust security frameworks to protect vehicle networks and electronic control unit (ECU) systems from cyber threats.
- I will conduct a Technical 2nd Line of Defence review that focuses on the Cyber Security aspects of both onboard elements in the vehicle (including ECUs and units in the network architecture) and offboard components (such as mobile communications and the cloud).
- I will lead the design of secure software architectures, encryption protocols, and intrusion detection systems.
- I will ensure compliance with automotive cybersecurity standards.
