Must:
I am looking for a successful candidate with a relevant 3rd level qualification or equivalent in a data and process-focused field. You should demonstrate an in-depth understanding of process flows, possess strong teamwork and communication skills, and have a methodical and proactive approach to problem-solving. A desire to learn about production systems and processes, along with the ability to challenge existing processes, is essential. Strong IT skills are crucial, particularly in Excel, where you should be able to create, update, and improve complex spreadsheets. An analytical mindset with strong problem-solving capabilities is required, as well as the ability to collaborate cross-functionally. Furthermore, excellent organizational skills are needed to manage multiple priorities and tight deadlines effectively.

Responsibilities

In the role of Operational Site Business Improvement Lead, you will report to the Business Improvement Manager within the Group Supply Chain and Procurement Function. Your key responsibilities will include improving current Excel reports and information flows, collaborating with local teams to understand their information needs, and working with the site, IT, OT, and business improvement teams to automate data collation and dashboards. You will also coordinate and support local staff in detailed process mapping of all operational aspects, including current practices, information flows, pinch points, inefficiencies, and improvement opportunities. Additionally, you will work with the Central Business Improvement team and stakeholders to develop and process map next-generation processes, ensure they meet site requirements, coordinate testing, train site teams on new systems, and streamline workflows throughout the business.

It would be advantageous if you have at least 2 years of relevant operational and planning experience in an FMCG organization. Desirable skills include in-depth knowledge of information and product flows, wider IT skills such as working knowledge of Microsoft NAV, Principal Index WMS, Power BI, and Power Automate, as well as exposure to Lean tools like Six Sigma and DMAIC. This opportunity may also be suitable for a recent graduate eager to gain exposure to digital transformation.
