Requirements
Must:
To be considered for the Senior Data Engineer position, you will need to have experience in the following areas:
- Strong Data Engineering and ETL development experience
- Data design experience in an MI / BI / Analytics environment (such as Kimball, lake house, or data lake)
- Experience working within a structured Change Management project lifecycle
- Excellent skills in Data Warehousing
- Strong knowledge of business intelligence solutions, with the ability to translate them into data solutions for the broader business
- Demonstrable knowledge of data warehouse methodologies
- A robust understanding of high-level business processes
- Experience in data migration, including reconciliation, data cleansing, and cutover
- Proficiency in extracting, reporting, and manipulating data from a data warehouse environment
- Familiarity with Transact SQL language or similar relational database backgrounds
- Ability to deliver complex data platforms and solutions
- Strong business analysis skills
Responsibilities
In this varied, challenging, and exciting role, I will need you to:
- Lead solutions for data engineering
- Maintain the design data held within the architecture
- Ensure data engineering best practices are followed
- Contribute to the development of database management services and associated processes for delivering data solutions
- Provide requirements analysis, documentation, development, delivery, and maintenance of data platforms
- Develop database requirements in a structured and logical manner to ensure alignment with business priorities and best practices
- Design and deliver performance enhancements, application migration processes, and version upgrades across a pipeline of BI environments
- Provide support for scoping and delivering BI capabilities to internal users
- Ensure high-quality data and utilize strategic data repositories, relational models, and Data Warehousing to optimize the delivery of accurate, consistent, and reliable business intelligence
