Requirements
Must:
- IT Expertise: I am looking for candidates with experience in EPoS installations, preferably in the Retail or Hospitality sectors. Familiarity with Cat5e/Cat6 data cabling and IT equipment configuration is essential.
- Technical Skills: I need individuals who are confident using and setting up IT systems, are computer literate, and maintain strong documentation accuracy.
- Mindset: Candidates should be proactive, reliable, able to stay calm under pressure, and take ownership of their tasks to ensure completion.
- Communication: I value individuals who can work well with engineers and clients while maintaining clear and professional communication at all times.
- Organisation: Strong multitasking and time management skills are crucial.
- Travel Willingness: A full UK driving license and willingness to travel, including overnight stays, are required.
Responsibilities
- Installation: I will expect you to install, refurbish, and maintain IT equipment, including tills, Chip & PIN devices, tablets, digital signage, media screens, kitchen systems, Wi-Fi, and structured cabling (Cat5/5e/6 & Fibre).
- Site Services: You will carry out swap-outs, repairs, and support work, ensuring that all processes, paperwork, and customer requirements are followed accurately.
- Communication: Liaising with clients to understand their needs, explain technical issues, and follow escalation protocols when necessary will be part of your role.
- Cabling & Termination: Installing and terminating network cabling on patch panels and modules as needed will be required.
- Site Work: Conducting surveys, audits, and research to support installations and project delivery will be essential.
- Team Support: Assisting colleagues both in the field and at HQ while maintaining high-quality standards should be part of your daily activities.
- Compliance: You will need to adhere to all health & safety policies and on-site procedures throughout each task.
