Requirements
Must:
We are looking for a self-motivated, organized, and detail-oriented Technical Support Engineer. The ideal candidate should possess strong troubleshooting abilities, analytical skills, and a wealth of technical knowledge. Experience in a Tier 1 support role for at least one year is required. Key skills include:
- Virtualisation: Xen Server, VMWare
- VoIP: Asterisk/FreePBX, with SIP knowledge as an advantage
- Office 365
- Microsoft Licensing, NCE, SPLA
- Azure
- Strong network design and diagnostics (VPNs, VLANs, WiFi)
- Commercial awareness
- Hardware knowledge (Watchguard, Draytek, Dell Servers and Switches, Yealink, Cisco)
- A full clean driving license is necessary. Additionally, candidates must be able to reliably commute to Huddersfield, HD7 5JN, or plan to relocate before starting work.
Responsibilities
As a Technical Support Engineer, I will require you to:
- Answer customer questions and resolve problems related to product operation.
- Analyze issues and solutions, making recommendations for process improvement.
- Communicate effectively with customers and co-workers both verbally and in writing.
- Collaborate as part of a team or work independently as needed.
- Conduct testing procedures to identify problems and implement appropriate solutions.
- Train users on the proper operation of equipment.
